The fun starts at SummerPrep!
SummerPrep, Sandia Prep’s summer program, runs from June 6 – July 15 for students from any school in grades Pre-K through high school. Customize your child’s schedule by choosing from more than 50 academic, tech, art, and sports classes.
Returning favorites include Minecraft, Clay Studio, Archery, and Weird and Wacky Science. Manzano Day School Summer Discovery
Manzano Day School is offering an in-person summer program for children 3 1/2 to 11 years old. Our Summer Discovery Program will run from June 6 – July 15, 2022. Summer Discovery hours are from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday with a before care and aftercare option as well. We also offer a half-day program that will meet from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. The cost of the full-day program is $985.00, and the cost for the half-day program is $750.00.
Our Summer Discovery Program focuses on inspiring Joy in Learning® through child-centered, hands-on activities. Program activities will include reading, writing, math, science, movement, games, music, art, and more. Panther Camp at Menaul School
At Panther Camp, we believe in the value of play. Whether our campers are involved in an organized game, participating in Pig Yoga, creating their own skits and plays, or listening to a story, the most important elements of Panther Camp are the following:
- Physical exercise and motor skills
- Relationships! Communication and cooperation skills
- Exploration and curiosity
- Problem solving and adaptability
- Imagination and reflection. Kids need ample time that is under-scheduled and that provides choices in order to develop healthy habits.
As an alternative to screen or couch time, Panther Camp provides a balance of activity that supports social, emotional, and physical health. Students engage in a wide variety of activities without having to specialize in one skill or subject area or rotate from class session to class session.

Every child in Albuquerque deserves an enriching, fun-filled and safe summer. The City of Albuquerque offers a wide range of summer programming. The Little Gym of Albuquerque

National Museum of Nuclear Science & History
Young scientists, Pre-K through 6th grade, won’t want to miss a minute of this year’s in-person “Science is Everywhere” Summer Camps at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History! These incredible week-long learning adventures will run May 31 – August 5. Campers will experience the wonders of science in sessions that include “Surviving Zombies,” “Young Wizards,” “Awesome Ozobots,” and many more. Register online.
Our education team will divide camp topics into week-long camps that are multi-age collaborative camper experiences. The camp programs run from 8:30 am-3:30 pm. Before-care is available from 7:30-8:30 am and after-care from 3:30-5:30 pm. There is no additional cost for before- and after-care, and they are available regardless of the camper’s use.
Cottonwood Gulch Expeditions

- Community & Service-Expeditions may work with the Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service or Park Service to improve and maintain trails and campsites, gaining access to restricted or otherwise hard to find areas.
- Arts & Culture-Our Arts Workshop is the perfect place to work side-by-side with our resident artists to create your own work. Music is also a big part of The Gulch experience. We sing songs nightly at campfires, and offer workshops and classes with our staff musicians.

Architecture + Design Summer Academy
Are you a High School Junior or Senior interested in the design of buildings, landscapes, cities, and historic structures?
Architecture + Design Summer Academy (ADSA) is for you! This day-program will run Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, except for Saturday, July 9, in the Albuquerque session. Students can join us in Albuquerque from July 5-15 or in Santa Fe from July 18-29. Students can also attend both two-week sessions. Each two-week experience will include design exercises led by School of Architecture + Planning faculty members, as well as lectures and field trips on the topics of architecture and design. You will have the opportunity to study with various instructors during each two-week session and get feedback on your work from local professionals and community leaders during a final presentation. UNM follows COVID-19 protocols based on State and University mandates.
Flamenco Kids Camp
As a program of the National Institute of Flamenco, Flamenco Kids Camp is a day camp introducing children ages 6-12 to the full range of flamenco arts and culture. Flamenco Kids Camp is a fun, creative outlet featuring classes in dance, cajón (percussion), cante (singing), palmas (hand percussion), Spanish language, and literacy.
Students receive a Kids Camp T-Shirt, snacks, and in-camp performance demonstrations from artists. The camp concludes with a free performance on Saturday, June 18th for friends and family (location TBD) where students demonstrate all they have learned during the course of the camp.
Flamenco Kids Camp is open to absolute beginners, new students, and children with beginning to intermediate level flamenco dance experience. Please feel free to contact us regarding questions about student placement.

Summer sports season is ramping up! There are so many opportunities for children of all ages to participate in a fun high-energy activity. What perfect opportunity than with i9 Sports this summer?
i9 Sports offers co-ed youth flag football, soccer, basketball, baseball, volleyball, cheer, and lacrosse for boys and girls ages 3-14. Our program is geared with the busy parent in mind. Practice is held only on game day. There are no tryouts or fundraisers. All coaches go through a background check and are certified.
Requests are accepted so friends/siblings can be on the same team if they are in the same age division. We will also offer Multi-Sport Camps and Sport Focused Clinics during the week!

School of Rock’s music camps offer an incredible selection of experiences from beginner music camps to intermediate and advanced sessions. Our music camps often include performance boot camps, artist-themed camps, songwriting and recording, and more—there’s a camp for every interest and skill level.
