Below are some of our team’s favorite tacos in Albuquerque. Which do you want to try first?
Don Choche Tacos Y Cerveza
7319 4th St NW, Los Ranchos De Albuquerque
Friends, do not miss this North Valley gem. Our pick is the red chile brisket. But we’ve never had anything here that we don’t like.
La Reforma
8900 San Mateo Boulevard NE
La Reforma boasts Mexico City-style street tacos rolled in tortillas made fresh daily. Our team recommends the pescado tacos. But the carnitas is a close second. And while you’re there, don’t miss the to-die-for Diana the Huntress margarita.
Casa Taco
5801 Academy NE, B
This one got the most votes from our team. It’s a toss-up between the green chile brisket and the carne asada. And if you have a big crowd at home, go for the family 12-pack.
Tako Ten
12501 Candelaria Rd NE Suite B
Don’t discount the new kid on the block. You have to try the fried avocado taco at Tako Ten. It’s located inside the Bridges on Tramway.
El Super
4201 Central Ave NW
Maybe you only know this as a grocery store, but surprise! There’s a restaurant inside: El Super’s Cocina. One of our team members swears by the carne asada.
El Paisa Taqueria
820 Bridge Blvd SW
This South Valley staple is never empty, which should be a sign to all of us that if we haven’t been there, we’re missing out! Street tacos are only $1.50 each. But word to the wise: this location only accepts cash.
Taco Cabana
6 ABQ & Rio Rancho locations
Ok, so this one is a little bit of a chain. But their breakfast tacos on fresh tortillas with red chile are de-lish. You’re welcome.
Last Call
6261 Riverside Plaza Lane NW, Suite A1
Don’t take our word for it. Go try the fish and the carne asada tacos.
Taqueria Mexico
300 Menaul Blvd NW
Word has it that this restaurant offers one of the most authentic Mexican experiences in Albuquerque. They have 11 different tacos to choose from. Good luck choosing one!
El Cotorro
111 Carlisle NE
This Nob Hill spot makes their corn tortillas fresh daily from locally-sourced corn masa along with six different house-made salsas. Choose from all the traditional meats. Or try something more adventurous like their numerous vegan options.
Tacos aren’t just for Tuesdays! Go try something new today.
