Now’s the Perfect Time for Club Read

This post is sponsored by Dion's. We at ABQ Mom work with businesses we feel would benefit our readers.

I’m going to take a wild guess that you may have some extra time on your hands right now. I’m sure you are also trying to encourage your kids to read or read more together as a family. And just like those nights you just can’t even imagine cooking dinner, Dion’s has come to our rescue again!

Dion’s and Albuquerque Isotopes have teamed up to provide the community with Club Read. This program, which is already up and running, encourages children to read and then rewards them for their efforts. The hope is that children in our community find a life-long love for reading to match their life-long love of Dion’s pizza and that kooky, adorable Orbit!

Students in preschool through 5th grade can participate in Club Read. Between now and July 31, students can print and fill out their scorecard (download here) by reading 6 books.

Next, students can submit their completed scorecard at any Dion’s location or online. They’ll earn a free slice of pizza and be entered to win the grand prize.

Four winners will be chosen to receive:

  • A new book
  • Four Suite-Level tickets at a home game to be Orbit’s guest
  • Honorary ceremonial first pitch
  • An autographed baseball
  • One customized Isotopes jersey
  • One booklet of Isotopes Baseball Bucks ($56 value)
  • One large Dion’s pizza to enjoy during the game
  • A $50.00 Dion’s gift card to use at any location
