Social Media Accounts to Follow to Educate Yourself About Racial Justice

In the wake of George Floyd’s death and the subsequent protests across our country (and now across the world), many of us are wondering what we can do to support racial justice.

While there are many actions we can take, one of thing we can do is to make sure we are following diverse voices on social media. I am choosing to follow thought leaders who challenge the way things have always been.

black public figures and social media influencers

The public figures’ accounts listed below address anti-racism, inclusion, and social justice in a way I need to hear.

My guess is we all spend some time scrolling every day. Why not learn something about these all-important topics while I’m doing so? I don’t know about you, but I want my feed to be as beautifully diverse as the world itself. Avoid the echo chamber where you only read voices that perfectly align with the way you’ve always thought.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but these are some of the voices (in alphabetical order) that I’m listening to.
