Hello beautiful ABQ Moms! My name is Clarissa Pritchett, and I am a new contributor to ABQ Moms Blog.

I am a blessed wifey of almost 10 years and mama bear to three boys. I love Jesus, fitness, and almost all things healthy. (But I do love pizza, tacos, and chocolate donuts too.)

I am a proud, spicy New Mexican with flavor from different states.

I have lived in five different states with New Mexico being the state I have lived in the longest.  After graduating from New Mexico Military Institute in 2003, I moved to Albuquerque to attend the University of New Mexico and start my career as a Medical Service Corps Officer.  Since 2003, I moved away a few times and finally settled in 2010 after getting married to my handsome hubby from New York who wanted to stay a little while longer.  Almost 10 years later, we are still here in ABQ, continuing to love the beautiful mountains, food, and friends who have become family.

MOMS

Living my blessed life as a boy mom.

In 2004, I had an emergency surgery, and doctors told me I would most likely never have children. I decided to focus on my career and start fitness competions.  Additionally, I went back to school to study integrative nutrition. After changing my diet dramatically, here I am today with three awesome boys. What I love about being a boy mom is that I can be me, #CoachC, rocking messy hair or a bun on the daily, yoga pants, and fun food or super hero swag.  Daily life with the kids is crazy, wild, sporty, and fun–just the way I imagined it! Although I have a new belly button, stretch marks, and survive on minimal hours of sleep, I would not change being a boy mom for the world!

Back in the game.

I started blogging in 2013 after completing integrative nutrition school.  Starting grad school and raising babies got more than busy from 2016-2018, but I managed to continue writing two free weekly fitness and nutrition newsletters  to send to my subscribers.  In 2018, I  co-authored my first book titled Body Talk: Finding the Beauty In You. Motivating women with my real, raw, and organic life story is something I love to do.  It is so exciting to be apart of the ABQ Moms Blog team of incredible women.  What I look forward to most is sharing fun fitness tips with healthy family friendly recipes and connecting with all of you beautiful ABQ moms on the blog or on the gram!
