Life with two toddlers can be quite overwhelming at times. And it’s even more of a whirlwind now because I’m currently 21 weeks pregnant with baby number three! In all of the chaos, diaper changes, and cleaning up dried Play-Dough from the carpet, it’s hard to slow down and just be thankful for a second. So this year for Thanksgiving, I am making more of an effort to be thankful. I decided to put together a little Thanksgiving mom poem as I reflect on #allthethings I’m giving thanks for this year.
Enjoy!
A Mom’s Honest Thanksgiving Poem
I am thankful for Target and the Dollar Spot toys
Like flash cards and puzzles, ya know, the ones that don’t make noise?
They’re kind to my wallet and keep toddlers entertained
While mama fills her cart with cute Joanna Gaines things
I’m so grateful for strangers behind me in line
Who offer a smile, helping unload heavy Costco finds
Bless you, strong coffee (yes, even while preggo)
Thank you, yogurt pouches and frozen blueberry Eggos
You make my morning a breeze
And supply quick energy we need
Oh, what a joy the day I discovered Smith’s ClickList!
Now I can stay in my PJ’s all day and make meals that are de-LISH!
For my mom friends who give me support and are super chill
Thanks for watching my kids at Chic-Fil-A when I need a refill
Thanks to my husband, my family, and bestie
Who always let me vent when life gets a little testy
But most of all these days, I’m thankful for my kids
And the bun in the oven who will make me a mom yet again
I love these three children with all of my heart
So here’s to Thanksgiving, let the eating finally start!
