ABQ Moms Blog 2017 Favorite Things Party (Plus Holiday Table Talk Free Printable)

This post is sponsored by all the wonderful, local small businesses that helped make this party one we won't forget!

Recently the Albuquerque Moms Blog team got together to celebrate the holidays with some of my favorite things. It’s so nice to see each other in person, since we often only get the chance to connect online.

This team of writers do so much for our community. They inspire us, make us laugh, give us ideas, and show us what to do around town. They connect to us through their words and let us know we are not alone in this motherhood journey. Because of all this, I wanted to be able to shower our contributors with some goodies to thank them for all their fantastic hard work this year. So I went on a mission to get some of my favorite things into their hands.

Without further adieu, here are a few of our 2017 favorite things!

First of all, thank you to Village Pizza for hosting us at their new westside location. You can find this new restaurant at the corner of Coors and La Orilla right in front of Flix Brewhouse. Village Pizza is great spot to meet friends for dinner and a drink. It’s a casual, cost-effective locale with an open space. If you’re a sports lover, they have TVs in the dining room to catch the big game.

My growing boys especially love the pizza buffet. (The buffet also includes salad and soup.)Just say the word “buffet,” and my boys come running. Add in “pizza,” and well, what’s not to like? The buffet is open for lunch everyday and for dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Also, a great big “thank you” goes to Breanna from Blooming Images for capturing our fun evening in beautiful photographs. Now we’ll never forget our evening together.

For their first gift, each contributor received a gorgeous flour sack dish towel from our friends at Kei and Molly Textiles. There are so many beautiful colors and designs to choose from. It’s almost impossible to choose just one! There may or may not have been some trading of colors and designs going on around the table.

We especially love how Kei and Molly Textiles is giving back to our community in such a beautiful way. They are committed to creating good jobs in Albuquerque, and they work with refugee resettlement programs to find many of their employees. They provide on-the-job training, health and education benefits, flexible hours, and a great place to work! Their studio also uses only water-based, non-toxic inks to minimize the impact on the environment. These details give us all the warm fuzzies and make us want to have a houseful of their beautiful, useful products. (I do have it on good authority that the last day they’re taking online Christmas orders is on Dec. 15, so don’t delay if you want to purchase these for Christmas.)

Our contributors’ second gift was a pair of leather earrings from j. box designs. These earrings are so light weight you hardly even know you’re wearing them. Follow j. box designs on Instagram, and you’ll find out that she’s now offering necklaces to match. Swoon!

Each of our team members also took home some Waxing the City sugar scrub. Exfoliating and moisturizing our skin in the desert is so important. And tis the season for self-care. I know these writers are taking care of so many others, so hopefully this gift compels them to take a few minutes just for themselves.

And last but not least, Albuquerque Moms Blog is most definitely one of our favorite things. Each contributor got a mug with our logo to help us remember our purpose every morning over our coffee. Our purpose is connecting you, our valued readers, with each other and with information about Albuquerque and parenting perspectives. Our contributors have a tall order, but all of them recognize what a privilege it is to serve Albuquerque moms.

Also, you should know that I’m the party game queen. All my parties have games. And I particularly like ones that help us get to know each other better. We played a little get-know-you-game at our Favorite Things Party. And we’re giving you the free printable so you can use them at your next holiday get-together.
