Dion's Pizza and Pasta SAUCEI am so excited to be partnering with one of my favorite local restaurants to bring this easy-peasy recipe to you! I don’t know about you, but I am always looking for easy recipes I can make on a busy night or when we take our RV out. Something I can just throw together quickly, yet everyone enjoys.

I will also preface this by saying that I am not a professional chef. I just put meals together that are simple and delicious regardless of how they look. So please, no judging! Now that we got this out of the way, let’s get started!

This dish is called Lazy Lasagna— let’s be real. When I first saw the name, I was like “YES! This is for me!” This is not an original recipe. I saw it on someone’s Instagram account and have modified the recipe to my liking.

I’ve made this dish with a bunch of different types of tomato sauces, but I have to say that Dion’s Pizza and Pasta Sauce has quickly become a favorite.

For starters, the sauce needs to be refrigerated which means it is made with fresh products. When you open the jar, you immediately catch all of the rich and delicious flavors.

Here is what you need:

Makes about 4-6 servings. Prep time: 15 min

Lazy Lasagna

Ingredients

1 lb of ground beef
2 – 8.8 oz packs of your favorite ravioli (I love the ones from Trader Joe’s)
1 – 8 oz bag shredded mozzarella (I used a dairy-free option, but use whichever one you like)
1 – jar of Dion’s Pizza and Pasta Sauce (or two if you like your lasagna on the saucy side)
Avocado oil
½ Tablespoon garlic salt
½ Tablespoon lemon pepper

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

  • Heat oil in a large skillet to start cooking the meat. Season meat to your liking– I usually season it with ½ Tablespoon of garlic salt and ½ Tablespoon of lemon pepper. Once the meat is done cooking, turn the stove heat down. DO NOT DUMP EXCESS GREASE.
  • Add the jar of Dion’s Pizza and Pasta Sauce to the meat and stir. Turn heat up to medium and let your sauce and meat simmer.
  • Coat your 8×12 Pyrex dish with oil. To start the base, pour some of your sauce at the bottom of the dish. Then, start layering the ravioli on top. Once the first layer is done, pour sauce over the ravioli and sprinkle some cheese (to taste). Repeat layering until your container is full. Top with any leftover sauce and cover the top layer with cheese.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil, then bake for 30 min at 400 degrees. Pull lazy lasagna out of the oven, and let it cool for 10 min.

TA-DA! Super easy and tasty. While at Dion’s getting the sauce, make sure to order your favorite salad and serve it as a side. My personal favorite Dion’s salad is the Crunchy Spinach salad— SOOO GOOD!
