I Scream Ice Cream

The ice cream isn’t the only thing about this shop that draws you in. The shop itself is covered in knick knacks and old fashioned gumball machines to make for a fun outing with the whole fam. They offer kids cones, coffee, and even frozen bananas.

This franchise is newer to the Albuquerque area. Enjoy one of four “wiches” that includes ice cream smushed between two cookies. And it doesn’t matter when your craving sets in, as hinted in the name, these things are available until late in the night.

The Paleta Bar is the home of the Mexican popsicle. These popsicles come in all different flavors from sorbet to cream and everything in between. Paleta Bar even has Paleta shakes on the menu. Pop Pop’s Italian Water Ice Truck

Once a NE Heights stable, Pop Pop’s has taken their business on the road, quite literally, with a food truck! Serving up all kinds of Italian ice treats find them at North Domingo Baca Park and various events around town.

Although this place has cookies in the name, it is definitely an must-have when it comes to ice cream. At Rude Boy you can create your own ice cream cookie sandwiches with your pick of cookies (try a different one for the top and bottom) and flavor of ice cream to go inside. Rude Boy is located in the heart of the University area, and the cookie sandwiches are worth a visit.
