3 Amazing Mascaras You Need to Try for Under $10

0

I have a confession. I have spent a lot of time browsing lifestyle and beauty blogs over the last five years. So much time, in fact, that I can confidently recommend to you the very best mascaras.

After my first son was born very premature, I was instructed to be very restful during my second pregnancy. I imposed a schedule where I laid down on the couch every day during any period of time when my son was asleep. During those long months of high-risk pregnancy, I spent many hours watching hair and makeup tutorials to pass the time. It was mindless and fun. It helped me not to worry about the possibility of another premature birth. I’m sure I could’ve done something more constructive with that time like watching a TED Talk or reading a good book. But I didn’t, okay? I did learn a lot about make-up.

I love trying new mascaras. And I have tried a LOT of them.

I have even tried many higher-end mascaras that cost about $20 per tube. I have good news! Three of my all-time favorites can be found at your nearby drugstore for under $10. I love these mascaras not because they are cheap. They are, in my opinion, actually better than most expensive mascaras.

Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara

This mascara is my all-time favorite. It costs $5 which is unbelievable because it is SO amazing. It goes on super-dark with very little effort and makes your lashes look really full but not clumpy. And it also lasts forever without drying out. You need to try it! Essence products can be found at Ulta or online.

L’oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

This mascara seriously delivers on its claim to make your lashes “voluminous.” It makes it look like you have a million lashes and costs only $10. It’s a dramatic mascara (which I love.) I will warn you that if you apply too much, this one could make your lashes look clumpy. This mascara is a “dupe” (a cheaper version) of a really popular high-end mascara, but I actually like it more.

If you are a natural make-up gal, this would be a great option for you. It is a beautiful mascara that leaves your lashes really separated and wispy. It never gives that heavy, clumpy appearance. Costing only $7 a tube, I’ve repurchased this one time and time again.

What’s your favorite mascara? Do you have one you have used for years? If you are in the market for a new one, give one of my favorites a try!
