We know many children rely on their local schools for food. We’re happy to report that there are many resources available for families who need assistance while schools are closed during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) threat. 

The state has set up a hotline for questions and requests for help regarding child care, food, supplies, and loss of income. 1-833-551-0518

APS Grab & Go Meals

Grab & Go meals will be provided to students during the three-week school closure from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 89 different locations. Find out more details here. 

Rio Rancho Public Schools Meal Access

RRPS is also providing meals to students grab & go meals. Get more information here. 

Los Lunas Schools Free Meals

Los Lunas Schools are also providing free meals for students during the school closure. Get all the details here. 

Free Meals for Kids at Presbyterian Hospital

Presbyterian provides free meals for children at hospitals across the state throughout the school year and summer, including during holidays. This is the latest update regarding times and locations. The hospital asks that you check back often for updates. 

Cheese & Coffee

Local restaurant Cheese & Coffee is also providing grab & go meals to children during the Coronavirus threat. See their announcement about it here. 

Free Internet from Comcast 

Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, Comcast is offering 2 months free to new Internet Essentials customers in response to recent and anticipated emergency measures associated with the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Get all the details here. 

Free Childcare for Children of First Responders

Noah’s Ark Children’s Academy is offering free child care to kids of first responders. They have opened 100 spots. Find out details on their website. 

Family and Community Services Programs

Family and Community Services will host programs for children run from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at all community centers and will offer meals to children. Programs are limited to 45 students per community center and registration is required. Get more details here. Registration opens Saturday, March 14. Register here. 

Children’s Choice Emergency Daytime Childcare

Children’s Choice is enrolling for emergency daytime care for those needing it. Go to their website here. 

Free Diapers and Wipes

If you are in need of baby items due to shortages, Women’s Pregnancy Options is giving away diapers and wipes. In addition, they are taking donations. Get more details here. 

El Taco Tote Mexican Grill Restaurant

El Taco Tote will be offering two bean and cheese tacos OR a cheese quesadilla with a side of rice. This offer will be valid ONLY through our Drive-Thru Monday – Friday from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm until further notice. Get further details here

Urban Hotdog

Families affected by the school closures can order their kids a classic starter hotdog and a side. No strings attached. Get more info here.
