Are you curious about Albuquerque Academy?
Albuquerque Academy students are defined by their curiosity. They are eager to learn. They question, engage, and challenge. They lead, solve, and invent, and they have endless opportunities to explore. They gain confidence in their successes and find humor and develop humility when they are less successful. And at all times they are supported by a caring community.
Tuition assistance is part of our mission. Every year the tuition assistance team works with curious parents and guardians who have financial concerns to determine if they can help transform an acceptance into enrollment. Any family is welcome to apply for tuition assistance, and their ability to pay tuition will not affect their child’s admission decision.
The Academy is a non-denominational, coeducational, independent day school serving 1,183 students in grades six through 12. The diversity of our student body fosters mutual respect and the sharing of unique ideas, important components of learning and growing. Find out how your child’s curiosity can benefit from and be served by our community.

Gospel Light Baptist Academy
GLBA has been serving the Rio Rancho and ABQ communities for 24 years. Starting with kindergarten all the way through 12th grade, GLBA partners with families to provide rigorous academics and Christian character training.
At GLBA, we believe God is focused on the whole individual – mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. From teaching reading with a phonics foundation, to traditional math in small classroom settings, to extracurriculars such as music and athletics, GLBA strives to develop students that are well-rounded and balanced. We desire to partner with parents to provide a safe, structured, spiritual, and inspiring environment where students can thrive!
Calvary Elementary School
At Calvary Elementary School our goal is clear: we yearn to educate the whole student within a Christian context of intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social development (Luke 2:52). Calvary Elementary School exists to help students cultivate a relationship with God, to discover and encourage their gifts, and to inspire each student to realize his or her full potential in serving God in spirit and truth. We desire the best loved and best taught students in the Albuquerque region.
Calvary Elementary School’s academic teaching path is best understood with the word paideia. The Apostle Paul uses the word in relationship to the nurture of children (see Ephesians 5: The Greek word Paul uses is paideia). In a similar manner, Jesus modeled a whole-person—paideia approach to education. In Luke 2: 52, the text states that Jesus grew in wisdom (mentally), stature (physically), favor with God (spiritually), and favor with man (socially). This wholistic approach towards education is at the heart of a paideia framework. Paideia is a full-orbed instruction, encompassing all aspects of life via three foundational teaching tactics: didactic, coaching, and seminars. Our unique approach to education is encouraging, challenging, and will help students flourish.
