Manzano Day School

Founded in 1938, Manzano Day School is an independent, nonprofit elementary school for children in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. It is the only Albuquerque elementary school accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS). In addition to the core academic subjects of reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, the co-curricular areas of art, library, music, physical education, Spanish, and technology are part of every student’s schedule.

Manzano Day School offers its students many unique experiences such as an outdoor environmental education program hosted at Fenton Ranch, the school’s scenic property in the Jemez Mountains; community service based learning at
each grade level; and time to explore and care for the school garden. The school’s core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, and striving for excellence are central to its strong and inclusive community.

Manzano Day School hosts open houses during the fall and spring and gives campus tours by appointment throughout the year. Please contact the Admission Office at 243-6659 or [email protected] for more information. We look forward to meeting you!
