Dion’s

Multiple locations in the Greater Albuquerque area

It’s hard to go wrong with Dion’s. It’s a local favorite for a reason. The ranch is heavenly. And for us moms, the drive-thru is a lifesaver. Dion’s tops this list because it’s easy, convenient, affordable, and delicious.

Restoration Pizza

5161 Lang Ave NE, Suite A, Albuquerque, NM 87109

Restoration Pizza is committed to making delicious pizza. They have all the favorites, many gourmet options, and a to-die-for cauliflower crust. But they’re also invested in our community and want to make it a better place. They hire differently-abled individuals and provide them an inclusive work environment with competitive opportunities and fair wages. It’s pizza with a purpose!

Village Pizza

2 locations in Corrales and on Coors & La Orilla (near Flix Brewhouse)

Village Pizza is a family-owned Albuquerque staple that boasts lots of made-from-scratch menu items using tried and true recipes. I love that Village Pizza never skimps on the toppings. They’re always piled high. ABQ Mom contributor Erin recommends the Blanco Pizza on their gluten-free crust.

Scarpas

5500 Academy Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109

Every pizza at Scarpas is prepared in their brick oven and topped with fresh mozzarella and fontina cheeses. If you love thin crust, fresh ingredients, and old world charm, Scarpas is the perfect choice.

Pizza 9

Multiple locations in the Greater Albuquerque area

Pizza 9 proudly serves Chicago Style Pizza. With deep dish, stuffed crust, and gluten free options, you will not go hungry with a pie from Pizza 9.

Golden Crown Panderia

1103 Mountain Rd NW, Albuquerque NM 87102

This neighborhood bakery near Old Town created its own New Mexican style pizza. Choose from peasant crust, blue corn crust, or their Famous New Mexico Green Chile Crust (which ABQ Mom writer Nichole says is ah-mazing). And don’t be surprised if you see this family-owned restaurant on a re-run of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives With Guy Fieri.

Slice Parlor

2 Albuquerque locations in Nob Hill & NE Heights

If you’re looking for New York style pizza, look no further than Slice Parlor. They hand throw their hand made-from-scratch dough to acheive that thin New York crust. Their pizzas are baked on slate in authentic deck ovens, just like New York City. Order slices or whole pies. Our writer Katie loves their awesome lunch deals for a inexpensive lunch date with her daughter or her husband.

Saggios

2 Albuquerque locations near Uptown & UNM

Using family recipes brought straight from Italy, Saggio’s authentic, home-style Italian is legit comfort food. The eclectic, colorful decor is unforgettable as well.

Farina Pizzeria

510 Central Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102

Farina Pizzeria & Wine Bar features artisanal pizzas, fresh salads, and house-made pastas served in an atmosphere with the distinct downtown vibe of Albuquerque’s EDo neighborhood. Not to mention they were voted #17 best pizza joint in the nation by Timeout Magazine.

Old Town Pizza Parlor

108 Rio Grande Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104

This family-friendly, comfy pizza spot is close to lots of family favorites like the Biopark, Explora, and the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. We hear great things about their specialties such as the Pizza Blanca, Margarita Pizza, or the Parlor Pie.

Amore Neapolitan Pizzeria

2 ABQ locations in Green Jeans Farmery & Tin Can Alley

If you want to feel like you’ve traveled to Italy without leaving the desert, this might be what you’re looking for. We’ve heard Amore is the most authentic in Albuquerque, which makes sense since they’ve actually been trained and certified to make authentic Neapolitan pizza, and their oven comes straight from Naples itself.

Richie B’s

7200 Montgomery Blvd NE STE A2, Albuquerque, NM 87109

Richie B’s stands out because they offer huge 18” and 25” pizzas that are all hand-tossed and made to order. Of course, you can order normal sized pizzas too. But why wouldn’t you want a pizza larger than your toddler?

Pizza Barn

11 Plaza Loop, Edgewood, NM 87015

Whether you live or play in the East Mountains, Pizza Barn is definitely the place to grab a slice on the green side. Its comfortable, friendly atmosphere is chock full of small town charm. Plus it was rated #1 by I Am New Mexico as the best of the top 20 New Mexico pizza joints.

Giovanni’s Pizzeria

921 San Pedro Dr SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108

Overheard: “Giovanni’s is the most like NY style pizza you’ll get outside of New York.” And that’s saying something! This old-fashioned pizza joint is a pleaser.

Pizza Castle

1220 Eubank Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112

This is a great option for delivery in the NE Heights. It’s family-owned, hand-thrown, and baked on stone.

Il Vicino

3 Albuquerque locations

Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza is a contemporary Italian pizzeria serving authentic wood-fired pizza and more. My favorite thing about Il Vicino is that if you dine in with kids, they’ll bring you a ball of dough to play with before dinner. That’s serious kid entertainment.

Davido’s Pizza

2418 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124

This pizza spot is a Rio Rancho family favorite. They’re open for takeout or delivery and have great daily specials.

Gino’s New York Style Pizza

3908 San Mateo Blvd NE,  Albuquerque, NM 87110

Gino’s is the most famous pizza in all of Albuquerque. This is the one and only pizza that ended up on Walter White’s roof in Breaking Bad. But don’t worry. The fame hasn’t gone to their head. This spot is still serving ABQ with the same great pizza and family traditions as they have since 1978.

Amadeo’s Pizza

3 Albuquerque locations

Amadeo’s hand-tossed pizza is sure to please. You can also order by the slice all day. And their meal specials can’t be beat. We also hear great things about their wings.

Trail Rider Pizza

12165 NM-14, Cedar Crest, NM 87008

This one is a little bit of a drive, but SO worth it. If you are in the mood for pizza, salad, sandwiches or burgers, this is the place for you. A perfect spot to stop after a quick, family-friendly hike.

Happy pizza eating, Albuquerque!
