Imagine travelling and experiencing captivating cultures from around the world. The language, the art, the music, the people. It sounds dreamy right? Now imagine doing that with children. Still dreamy, but travelling with children can be stressful (why do little people need so many things?) and expensive. However, there’s no doubt that teaching your children about different cultures is worthwhile. So why not explore cultures from around the world together and still make it home in time for some green chile cheeseburgers in your own backyard?
¡Globalquerque! kicks off this weekend at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. As New Mexico’s 15th Annual World Music & Culture Celebration, this year’s festival will bring three stages of music from 14 countries over two nights. ¡Globalquerque! is a fun and unique idea for a ladies night or a date night!
In addition to ¡Globalquerque!, there is a free family event on Saturday, September 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.! Global Fiesta is a fun-filled day packed with educational workshops, activities, and performances created in collaboration with the National Hispanic Cultural Center. Global Fiesta is a great introduction to ¡Globalquerque! for the entire family. Your family will get a chance to interact and explore many cultures through dance, music, art, and film.
